This page shows what clinics say laser tattoo removal costs on their own websites, and what can change the price. It is not a quote, it is not an average of what people paid, and it does not name any clinic. For what the treatment is, see our page on Laser tattoo removal.
What clinic websites state
These are prices clinics publish on their own websites. We read them on 22 October 2026. Each website counts once, so a clinic with many figures on one site is not counted many times. They are what clinics advertise to the public. They are not what people actually paid, and they are not an average.
For the United States, the median figure is $350 per session. The middle half of the sites state between $240 and $369. The lowest figure found is $118 and the highest is $697. The sample is 24 websites.

Arizona
For Arizona, the median figure is $250 per session. The middle half of the sites state between $192 and $356. The lowest figure found is $150 and the highest is $390. The sample is 7 websites. In practice this means the Phoenix area. A page for a group of clinics in several states that lists a Phoenix-area location can fall in this group. The Arizona sample is smaller than the national one, so treat it as a rougher guide.

What changes the total
These figures are per session and do not say how large the tattoo is. They mix small and large tattoos, so a figure for a small tattoo and a figure for a large one are in the same range. Ask for a quote that is based on your tattoo.
The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), a society of dermatologists, says you will need more than one laser session, because the tattoo ink is layered and a laser cannot safely break down all the layers in one session, and your skin needs time to heal between sessions. It says that a single laser cannot remove all ink colors, so a clinic that uses only one laser may leave some ink. So the total depends on the number of sessions, and on whether the clinic has the lasers your tattoo's colors need. AAD recommends a board-certified dermatologist, which is its view as a society of dermatologists.
What the figures are not
They are not a quote. Many clinic pages give a typical range for their city rather than their own price list. Some pages sit behind booking tools or show prices in images, and we could not read those. We read the pages by rule and spot-checked a sample, not every page by eye. The pages carry no consistent date, so we say only that we read them in October 2026. The national sample comes from clinics across the country, and leans toward large cities. We left out sites that are not clinics, such as review, news, forum and marketplace sites.
Reading a quote
A clear quote says how the price is set (by size, by session, or by package), how many sessions are expected, and the total. Ask whether the clinic has more than one laser, since AAD says one laser cannot remove all colors, and what happens if you need more sessions than planned.
