What Botox costs: what clinic websites state

What clinics say botox costs on their own websites, from 49 sites read in October 2026, and what changes the total. Not an average of what people paid.

Updated 22 Oct 2026

This page shows what clinics say a botox costs on their own websites, and what can change the price. It is not a quote, it is not an average of what people paid, and it does not name any clinic. For what the treatment is, see our page on Botox.

What clinic websites state

These are prices clinics publish on their own websites. We read them on 22 October 2026. Each website counts once, so a clinic with many figures on one site is not counted many times. They are what clinics advertise to the public. They are not what people actually paid, and they are not an average.

For the United States, the median figure is $13 per unit. The middle half of the sites state between $11 and $15. The lowest figure found is $6.50 and the highest is $25. The sample is 49 websites.

Arizona

For Arizona, the median figure is $11.50 per unit. The middle half of the sites state between $10 and $12.77. The lowest figure found is $6.50 and the highest is $14. The sample is 20 websites. In practice this means the Phoenix area. A page for a group of clinics in several states that lists a Phoenix-area location can fall in this group. The Arizona sample is smaller than the national one, so treat it as a rougher guide.

What changes the total

The unit price is only part of the cost. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), a society of plastic surgeons, says the cost of botulinum toxin injections varies with how advanced the lines are and how aggressively you want to treat them, which together set how much product is used. It also lists the expertise and qualifications of the person treating you, the time the treatment takes, and the geographic location of the office. We use ASPS only for these factors. We do not use any ASPS price.

So two people with the same unit price can pay different totals, because they need different numbers of units for different areas. Your provider can tell you how many units they expect to use for the areas you want treated, and why.

Units are not the same across brands

The Botox Cosmetic label says units of Botox Cosmetic cannot be compared to or converted into units of any other botulinum toxin product. The Dysport label says the same about Dysport. A price per unit for Botox and a price per unit for Dysport therefore cannot be compared directly. Compare the total quote for the areas to be treated, and what it includes. See Botox vs Dysport.

Insurance

The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), a society of dermatologists, says cosmetic procedures are typically not covered by insurance, but it is worth confirming with your insurer.

What the figures are not

They are not a quote. Many clinic pages give a typical range for their city rather than their own price list. Some pages sit behind booking tools or show prices in images, and we could not read those. We read the pages by rule and spot-checked a sample, not every page by eye. The pages carry no consistent date, so we say only that we read them in October 2026. The national sample comes from clinics across the country, and leans toward large cities. We left out sites that are not clinics, such as review, news, forum and marketplace sites.

Reading a quote

A clear quote says the product, the price per unit, how many units are expected, the total, and what is included, such as a follow-up visit. A clinic that quotes only a per-unit price has not told you your total.
